Just In: Discovery Shows Jill Stein May ACTUALLY Be a Russian Agent, Senate Takes Action

There’s breaking news from Buzzfeed that the Senate is looking into at least one other candidate as part of its Russian probe. The Senate Intelligence Committee is now asking for documents from Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein, according to a former campaign worker, Dennis Trainor, Jr.

From Buzzfeed:

Trainor, who served as the campaign’s communications director and acting manager during that time, told BuzzFeed News that he was informed of the committee’s request because during his time on the campaign, his personal cell phone was “a primary point of contact” for those looking to reach Stein or the campaign. That included producers from RT News, the Russian state-funded media company, who booked Stein for several appearances, Trainor said.

“Then I was told by Jill just to wait for further instructions,” Trainor said, adding that he was told the campaign would contact him in the next week with instructions, presumably from the Senate Intelligence Committee, for executing the document search, including precise search terms. That has not happened yet, Trainor said.

Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC), the committee’s chairman, told Buzzfeed bluntly that what they were looking for was “collusion with the Russians.”

Burr said they just started looking at two campaigns including Stein’s. He did not elaborate on who the other campaign involved.

Trainor said he intended to comply with the request and post the information online for the sake of transparency.

People have raised the question of the infamous RT dinner at which Stein was present along with Vladimir Putin and Michael Flynn.

Trainor said he believes the committee is primarily interested in Stein’s appearances on RT.

U.S. intelligence believes RT to be a “propaganda outlet” and the Trump DOJ just asked RT to register as a foreign agent because of their connection to the Kremlin.

Trainor defends appearing on RT, saying that he himself has appeared on RT.

“There’s a lot of smoke around RT and not a lot of fire,” he said. Trainor also believes Intelligence Community assessment refers to his own documentary about Occupy Wall Street, though not by name, in a section about RT’s alleged attempts to “fuel discontent” in the US — something he called a “body blow.” He said the documentary, American Autumn, fits the description of the film cited in the assessment and was airing on RT at the time.

Obviously, presence at a dinner doesn’t mean you’re a Russian agent.

But a continual presence or relationship with RT might be more problematic. And the far-left has been associated with Russia/Soviet Union for decades.

Russia has pushed movements they feel will promote unrest or chaos in the United States. Indeed they were recently found to have been behind Black Lives Matter protests including those in Charlotte, North Carolina.

And RT has helped promote that chaos, focusing on anything that smacks of unrest or protests in the U.S.

The U.S. government views RT as a propaganda arm of the Kremlin and they’re not wrong.

As Liz Wahl, former RT anchor noted, it was understood you were supposed to take the pro-Kremlin position on things even to the point of ludicrous positions.

From Daily Mail:

During her first week in the job the Occupy Wall Street movement began in New York City’s Zuccotti Park and her Russian news director announced that it was going to be their top story.

The network’s coverage deliberately sought to portray America as a country in the midst of a popular uprising, she said and they ‘continued to suck it dry’ even after the numbers of protesters had dwindled.

At the same time, she noted that protests in Moscow about alleged election fraud were all but ignored by the network.

This despite the fact that there were never more than a few thousand people across the entire country who were ever continuously visibly protesting. But the point was to show chaos and unhappiness.

Wahl later resigned live on air, saying she could no longer lie to help Putin.

‘I’d looked the other way as the network smeared America for the sake of making the Kremlin look better by comparison, while it sugarcoated atrocities by one brutal dictator after another,’ she told Politico Magazine.

When Russia invaded Ukraine, she said she finally came to see just how dangerous a propaganda tool the network was and so she resigned live on TV as a form of protest.

In closing statements during her 5 p.m. broadcast on March 5, Wahl said: ‘I cannot be part of a network funded by the Russian government that whitewashes the actions of Putin.’

‘I am proud to be an American and believe in disseminating the truth. And that is why, after this newscast, I am resigning.’

Other RT on-air employees also expressed similar sentiments about pushing propaganda including Abby Martin and Sara Firth.

Interestingly, one of the Occupy leaders was none other than the very same Dennis Trainor.

You can see him here, narrating an effort occupying the lobby of the Israel Consulate in Boston. They chanted, “Viva la intifada,” among other fun chants.

Stein responded to the request for her documents, calling any thought of her connection to Russia “laughable” and “an obvious smear.”

It trended on Twitter and had a lot of people talking.

Interesting who responds on Stein’s behalf, those who some connect to Russia for other reasons.
