UN Votes 128-9 to Punish US for Jerusalem Move, Nikki Haley Gives Them Giant 1-Finger Salute

The U.N. Security Council tried to pass a resolution declaring the decision by President Donald Trump to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel to be “null and void.” But it failed to pass because the United States ambassador, Nikki Haley vetoed the resolution.

Haley then said they would be ‘taking names’ of the people that came out against the U.S. and Trump said that the U.S. would consider cutting aid to countries that voted against the United States.

They couldn’t let that rebuke go by, so today they held a vote in the general assembly to condemn the United States.

From Daily Wire:

On Thursday, the United Nations General Assembly voted 128-9 to condemn the United States for President Trump’s decision to relocate the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. They labeled the policy “null and void.” There were also 35 abstentions. The nine countries voting no were the United States, Israel, Guatemala, Honduras, Togo, Micronesia, Palau, and the Marshall Islands. The 35 abstentions were mainly centered in Eastern Europe. 21 countries didn’t bother voting.

The Left is treating this as somehow unique.

But the U.N. has been anti-Israel and anti-U.S. for ages, as Ben Shapiro at the Daily Wire notes, “it would be difficult to find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.”

As U.N. Watch notes in Ben’s tweet:

The U.N thinks they can dictate to the United States our sovereign right to determine where the our embassy is. And that Israel doesn’t have the right to dictate where their capital is.

But Nikki Haley tells them what’s what.

The United Nations was always a garbage idea — the very notion of countries where citizens have been reduced to eating dogs (Venezeula) or thrown in jail for dissent (Turkey) declaring American sovereign policy “null and void” with regard to reinforcing a historical and verifiable truth is insulting. The foreign community has zero control over our foreign policy, and particularly over our placement of our embassy.

But on the positive side as both Haley and Trump noted, the United States will now have a list of countries who obviously want a cut to their aid.

And maybe that would be a great step on the way to doing away with any payment at all for the U.N. and, as Shapiro notes, turning the U.N. building into a center for the very victims of the same countries that think they can oppress their people and then tell the U.S. which has been the bulwark of human civilization, what to do.

Time to finally tell them they can’t continue to fight against us and expect to continue to drain us for money.
